Terms of Service

Effective September 29, 2026

These terms govern use of Lightfeed. They are written to be read: what the Service does, how we collect retail data, what you may do with it, and what each side promises. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.

1. Who we are and who these terms are for

Lightfeed is operated by Revar Immersive Technology Inc., doing business as Revar (“Lightfeed”, “we”, “us”), 1055 W Georgia St, Vancouver, BC, V6E 4N7, Canada. Lightfeed is a business service. By creating an account, accepting an order form, or using the Service you (“Customer”, “you”) confirm that you are acting for a business and that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.

If you and Lightfeed have signed a separate agreement (an order form, master services agreement, or data processing addendum), that agreement controls where it conflicts with these terms.

2. The Service

The Service collects publicly displayed retail information from retailer and marketplace websites, matches it to the products you ask us to track, and delivers the result through the Lightfeed web application, API, exports, webhooks, and MCP endpoint (together, the “Service”). The data delivered to you is the “Output”. The product lists, store lists, seller lists, pricing and other material you give us are “Customer Inputs”.

Workspace administrators control who in your organization has access. You are responsible for your users, for keeping credentials confidential, and for activity under your accounts.

3. How we collect retail data

This section describes how the Service works. It is a description of our practices, not a warranty about any third party’s website.

  • Public pages only. We read product and search pages that any shopper can view without signing in, and the public storefront endpoints those pages themselves use. We do not hold accounts on retailer sites, do not log in, and do not solve CAPTCHAs or other human-verification challenges.
  • Never retailer portal data. We never ask for, accept or use credentials to any retailer supplier or vendor system (for example Retail Link, Partners Online or Vendor Central), and we never receive data a retailer has shared with you under a supplier agreement.
  • Facts, not content. We collect prices, promotional prices, availability, product identifiers, titles, sizes, seller names and the store a price applies to. We do not copy product photography or marketing copy into the Output, and we do not collect personal information such as reviewer names.
  • Measured access. Requests are rate-limited per site and retried on exponential backoff. Requests originate from Lightfeed’s infrastructure and, where required, commercial proxy services. You never send a request to any retailer.
  • Third-party sources. The Service depends on retailer websites that change without notice. We may modify, suspend or discontinue a connector or data field when the underlying source changes or becomes unavailable, and will tell you about material changes. A change of this kind is not a breach of these terms.

4. Your licence to the Output

During your subscription we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Output for your internal business purposes, including pricing, promotion, assortment and channel decisions, marketplace seller monitoring, trade-spend review and negotiation preparation. You may share Output with your affiliates and professional advisers under confidentiality obligations no less protective than these terms.

You may not:

  • sell, license, publish or redistribute the Output, or use it to produce a public benchmark, index or report;
  • use the Output or the Service to build or train a product that competes with Lightfeed, or to train a machine-learning model that is offered to third parties;
  • remove attribution, reverse-engineer the Service, or access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide.

Output that you have received and stored during the subscription remains available to you for internal use after it ends.

5. Independent pricing and competition law

You set your own prices, independently. You agree not to use the Service or Output to agree on, coordinate, signal or police resale or retail prices with any retailer, distributor or other manufacturer, and not to share Output with a competitor for that purpose. Where you operate a unilateral advertised-price policy, you are responsible for administering it in compliance with applicable competition law.

The Service delivers each customer’s Output only to that customer. We do not pool customers’ Customer Inputs and we do not recommend prices to multiple competing customers from a shared model. Lightfeed does not communicate with any retailer or seller on your behalf and is not a channel between you and your trading partners.

6. Customer Inputs and confidentiality

Customer Inputs, and the fact of which products, stores and sellers you track, are your confidential information. We use them only to provide the Service to you, we do not disclose them, we do not use one customer’s Customer Inputs to serve another, and we do not use Customer Inputs or your Output to train models offered to anyone else. On termination we delete them within 30 days of your request, except copies held in routine backups, which expire on their normal schedule.

Output is derived from information retailers display publicly. It is not the confidential information of either party, and nothing in these terms treats a publicly displayed price as confidential. Your rights in the Output are the licence described above.

Each party will protect the other’s non-public information with at least reasonable care, use it only for this relationship, and disclose it only to people who need it and are bound to keep it confidential. These obligations do not apply to information that is public through no fault of the receiving party, was already known to it, or was independently developed. Disclosure required by law is permitted after notice where notice is lawful.

7. Trials, fees and billing

New workspaces begin with a free trial. No payment method is required and no invoice is issued during the trial. A paid subscription starts only when you accept a plan or order form. Fees are stated in the plan or order form, exclude taxes, and are billed in advance. Subscriptions renew for successive terms unless either party gives notice before renewal. Except as stated in these terms, fees are non-refundable.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.

8. Acceptable use of the platform

You will not use the Service to violate law, infringe rights, probe or disrupt our systems, or share access outside your organization. We may suspend access that threatens the Service or other customers, and will restore it once the issue is resolved.

9. Warranties and disclaimers

We will provide the Service with reasonable skill and care and in accordance with the description in these terms. Retail data is collected from third-party websites that change without notice. The Output is provided as observed; we do not warrant that it is complete, accurate, current or fit for any particular decision, and a gap or error in the Output is not a breach of these terms. You are responsible for how you use it.

Except as expressly stated, the Service and Output are provided “as is” and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

Neither party is liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, however caused. Each party’s total liability under these terms, for all claims together, is limited to the fees you paid to Lightfeed in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot be limited by law.

During a free trial, each party’s total liability is limited to CAD $1,000.

If a third party brings a claim against us because Customer Inputs infringe its rights, or because you used the Service or Output in violation of law or of the licence or data-use sections, you will cover the resulting losses, subject to the limits above.

11. Term, termination and data return

These terms apply while you have an account. Either party may terminate for material breach that is not cured within 30 days of notice. You may cancel a subscription at any time from billing settings; it ends at the close of the paid term. On termination we make your Output available for export for 30 days, then delete your workspace data as described in the Customer Inputs section.

12. General

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of Vancouver, British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction. Neither party may assign these terms without consent, except to a successor in a merger or sale of substantially all assets. Notices to us go to support@lightfeed.ai; notices to you go to your workspace administrator’s email. We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new effective date; material changes take effect 30 days after we notify you, and continued use after that date is acceptance. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
